Old historical crises and new problem point
Last update: 27 Mar 07, 04:39 ET

A lot of today's "hot points" began their history tens or, sometimes hundreds, years ago. The conflict in Northern Ireland has near 900-years history. It's no difference, what is the age of conflict. Each of them kills people, crashes their destinies, and changes their lives.
15 detained British sailors are treated with humanitarian and moral behavior – officials from Iran says. Their relatives know where they are. I think they are in a better condition than convicts of Guantanamo Bay and other semi-official CIA prisons. Very funny, but Iran looks more humane country than USA and Great Britain.
It's hard for me to speak about Britain as about democratic country. The country that was "a leader" in organization of concentration camps, the country that could let itself to kill its own Members of Parliament in the end of 20th century. Let the oldest BritainIreland war be finished in spite of all speculations and misunderstandings.
The war between Sinhalese and Tamil people in Sri Lanka is also a "heritage" of a British Empire when borders were put and people were moved according only to the momentary profit. A Tamil Tigers have opened a new era in conflict this month – they began to use non-standard weapon. After light airplane with bombs they used explosive-laden tractor to attack a military camp in Eastern Sri Lanka.
Officially he is guilty but they let David Hicks to serve any sentence in his own country. So the far Australia is involved in American strange wars in Afghanistan and Iraq; American strange and not-very-constitutional military tribunals in strange places.
These strange wars add dangerous secrets. Dangerous for generals and other officials who want to hide inconvenient facts. Former NFL star and the Army Ranger Pat Tillman wasn't killed by Afghan insurgents but by a friendly fire. Multi-stars generals didn't want to declare that the real patriot, who gave up a multimillion-dollar contract to join the Army Rangers after the Sept. 11 attacks, lost his life because of somebody's mistake.
The most dangerous and bloody conflicts, to my mind, took place not between different religious but inside one. Interminable wars between Catholics and Protestants, the Fourth Crusade and the Northern Crusades. Some moments of modern life cause the conflicts in churches inside the USA right now.
Today's Western "civil wars" such as elections are not so looking as a "mortal combat" but need the same sums of money. It's not good, but the high professional level of candidate isn't necessary. Lack of all types of experience we see now in the person of Republican's President. I don't want to see the same among Democrats.
The oldest and endless fights are bio-fights inside our bodies. Thank to researches now we can "stop" some of them or feeling much better during these microwars. The research of a mice estrogen will help woman in the menopause. Interesting, what does male mouse feel when his female is in such pause?
