So this week's Apple geek-centric soap opera - the emergence of Psystar and its Apple computer clones - hasn't died down much. Finally, Psystar's president seems to be talking more to fight skeptics.

The Cocotron is an open source project which implements an Objective-C API very similar to that described by Apple Computer's Foundation and AppKit framework documentation.

An Apple Computer patch released last week doesn't completely fix a high-profile Mac OS X flaw, leaving a toehold for cyberattacks , experts said. The update added a function called 'download validation' to the Safari Web browser, Apple Mail client and iChat instant messaging tool.

"In twenty odd years of working with computers, I never owned an Apple computer. Frankly, until OSX, I was never interested. But the BSD underpinnings of OSX got my attention . The Mac finally got a "real" operating system.

Apple Computer's announcement of new Macs based on processors from Intel raises an interesting question: Since both the Mac and Windows operating systems now run on Intel-based hardware, shouldn't it be easy to run both on the same computer ? That simple question deserves a simple answer.
